| ![]() Our Work 1. Computer Skills and Trainings: The trainings programme, will involve the disseminating of various other essential disciplines that are essential in forming the youths into good and active citizens of the nation. These will be practical and theory of a kind and will be handled by the skilled professionals, in order to meet the desired objective. With these short trainings, the youths will be trained in other vocational disciplines and also disciplines such as African ethics, Public policy, Environment and sustainable development among others. It is important to note that given the various different educational backgrounds of our youths, with some almost having attained no formal education at all these disciplines will be designed and tailored to meet all those special requirements and needs. Gender Mainstreaming The country’s gender policy developed in 1994 recognizes women as a vulnerable group that is marginalized due to social-cultural setting and therefore calls upon all development actors to mainstream gender in their initiatives. In all her programs, M.S KULEKANA YOUTH RESOURCE NETWORK INITIATIVE will contribute to this policy, through mainstreaming gender in all her initiatives. HIV/AIDS This project is to also center on the youths, and will put into consideration some important issues like HIV/AIDS impact on the youths. The fact that the youths are a vulnerable group likely to catch the HIV/AIDS, we are looking at disseminating awareness to the youths on the abstinence, use of condoms, having live sex after marriage models among other related practices so as to ensure that the youths population in Makindye Division is HIV/AIDS free and comprised of healthy young women and men, who are ready to serve their country Uganda. The Environment KULEKANA YOUTH RESOURCE NETWORK INITIATIVE will emphasize and advocate for environmental protection and conservation among the communities where it operates. This will be exhibited through the disseminating of information in regard to preserving the environment to the youths we always handle, and also a contribution towards publishing notices for the general public towards this cause. Networking Under this, the project will aim at building strong partnerships and alliances with like-minded institutions and organisations to influence domestic, regional and international policies that affect Information and Communication Technologies among the youths population. | ||||||
